Spreading love Racism is a concern for many in the Western lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ) communities, with members of racial, ethnic, and national minorities reporting having faced discrimination from other LGBT people. Nearly half of LGBT people of color live in low-income households.

This action was met with anger from white gay men who felt the flag represented unity despite skin color — a particularly tone-deaf defense given that Philadelphia's gay bars had recently become a hotbed for racism. Within hours of returning to power Monday, United States President Donald Trump issued a stunningly broad executive order that seeks to dismantle crucial protections for. We have long been burdened with the work of removing homophobia from Black communal spaces while also taking up the fight against racism in all spaces.
Sadly, Pride month has never really been about having pride for Black queer people.
